We all know we should drink enough water, but what happens to your body when you don’t drink enough water?
Luckily most of us know we should drink enough water, there are still some people that believe we already get enough from just a few fruits and veggies a day. So what Happens to your body without enough water?
When you do not drink enough water, you are more likely to get sick. It is that simple. Drinking more water will decrease the risk of for example kidney stones.
Without enough water, your metabolism will stop working for you. Doctor Howard Murad who wrote the book The Water Secret (Wiley), found that a person’s basal metabolic rate (the calories burned while you are at rest) speeds as the body becomes more hydrated.
Your brain will have a hard time to concentrate. Actually your brain will have a hard time to complete any task.
Are you thirsty or hungry?
This one is pretty straight forward. If you don’t drink enough, you will eat more.
A dehydrated body is not very attractive. You will look older, have under eye circles and will look even more wrinkled. While reading this book, it seems that water plumps the skin, fills in fine lines wrinkles, and gets rid of a dull complexion. Water, anyone?

A dehydrated body is not a happy person. You will most likely have bad moods when you are dehydrated. Personally, this is my sign of being dehydrated.
