Lime fudge

Fudge equals pure melting goodness. Good fudge is soft and truly melts in the mouth. Delicious! This lime fudge is easy and irresistible.

The basis recipe is with only two ingredients. However, I experimented with different tastes using sweet, sour, and salty. After trying a few combinations, I realized the recipe below is the winner!

HOW TO MAKE LIME FUDGE

Macadamia nuts are a delicious change from the more standard nuts like almonds and a source of good fats.

The simple version of this recipe is made with only two ingredients, but the lime version is so much better! All you have to do is add the juice of half a lime and a pinch of Celtic sea salt. You might find it weird to add, but it’s so tasty! If the fudge is ready, take it out of the freezer and cut the fudge into squares.

You can keep the fudge in the freezer for 2-3 months. Great to have in the freezer when craving something sweet.

Description

This raw vegan lime fudge is easy to make and an irresistible snack or treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of pitted dates (100 grams)
  • 1 cup of (unsalted and unroasted) macadamia nuts (100g)
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a food processor and process for a few minutes until a ball forms. That means your fudge is ready.

Take out the mixture and create a square shape on a flat surface (about 1 inch thick). Transfer it to the freezer.

After about 4 hours, the fudge is ready to be served. Cut into squares.

Notes

You can keep the fudge in the freezer for 2-3 months.

  1. ziet er interessant uit, ga ik zeker uitproberen. Is het ook mogelijk dit met andere noten te maken, of heeft alleen de macadamia de juiste consistentie?
