DIY Lip Scrub

Whether it’s chilly outside or you work in an air conditioned environment, our lips suffer for it. Chapped lips are not very attractive. Sometimes they might even get covered in a layer of crusty annoying dead skin that usually ends up getting bitten or tugged off. The lip scrubs in the store often contain a lot of unwanted (harsh) ingredients, but it’s really the easiest thing in the world to make your own DIY lip scrub.

You will need:
  • A tablespoon of sugar
  • Coconut oil
  • A bit of lemon juice
  • A small container

How to

Mix a tablespoon of sugar with just enough coconut oil and lemon juice to get it to stick together. Once a week (twice at the very max) rub the scrub onto your lips hard enough to loosen the dead skin, but be careful not to irritate your lips. Then rinse or wipe off with a damp washcloth or water. Apply lip balm (coconut oil) after use.

Soft plump lips should be the result. It’s a great tool when suffering from chapped dry lips.

If you wish you can add honey to make the scrub more moist or cinnamon to plump your lips .
