Unfortunately, Jason is not my neighbour although the title may seem like I’m referring to a close friend. Jason is Jason Vale, a.k.a. the juice master. Jason truly did find his ikigai, his purpose of life, his plan de vida. Jason is the biggest fan of juicing on this planet. And I love his energy. I gave a lot of his juices a try and they are all tasty. Sometimes almost a bit too good to be true. In other words, a bit too sweet for me. However, his Super Juice is a juice I will make once in a while and even more often for others not used to juicing. This juice is perfect if you hate avocados and green powders (wheatgrass, spirulina and chlorella). You will not be able to taste them. The combination of pineapple and avocado makes this juice almost taste like a yoghurt drink with a flavor. This recipe is a great juice for newbies.

Almost too tasty to be good, or not?

This juice is full with enzymes, antioxidants and amino acids. Wheatgrass for example is a rich source of chlorophyll also known as liquid sunshine. It is what causes green leaves to become green, full of life. It will improve the function of the heart, the vascular system, the intestines and the lungs. Wheatgrass will also detox the liver and the blood. The juice is actually very filling due to the addition of the avocado, which provides the body with the perfect balance of essential fatty acids. Yes, the friendly fats that your body needs. Both the cucumber and the lime are a good way to clean the body and are great for your hair, skin and nails. Lime is super alkaline and will make sure you can keep the juice a little bit longer in the fridge.

You have to give this juice a try! This recipe is from Jason’s book 7 Lbs in 7 Days: The Juice Master Diet and it contains a lot of amazing recipes. PS. I used this probiotic. I simply open up the capsule and use the powder to put into my blender along with the other ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lime
  • 2 Golden Delicious or Royal Gala apples
  • 1/4 pineapple
  • 1/4 cucumber
  • 1/4 ripe avocado
  • A teaspoon of green powder such as wheatgrass or spirulina
  • 1 capsule of probiotics/friendly bacteria
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Juice all the fruits. Put the avocado flesh into a blender along with the ice, green powder and the friendly bacteria powder and blend with the juice until smooth. Enjoy!!
