It’s easy to think of fall as ”out with the old and in with the new”, right? But trees actually bother to turn their leaves into beautifully pigmented red and yellow leaves. While the green chlorophyll in a tree fades away, the tree actively builds new pigments to turn the leave red or yellow.

Those fall walks in the forest can be so magical then. This year the most magical walk was in Warsaw. It’s all about catching the right timing in terms of the weather and leaves. That day felt like a dream. So incredibly gorgeous!

And then there are obviously a million other reasons to love fall.  From the cozy accessories, big sweaters, more warming drinks, soup… I  adore every aspect of this time of year! Let’s celebrate fall season with a roundup of a bunch of my favorite things!

This book is super interesting. It discusses the most important new breakthroughs in neuroscience, psychology and body-centered therapies. This book is about understanding and treating trauma. And the effects of trauma and stress on the human body.

I’m also enjoying this book by Alice Munro. A perfect book to lose yourself in her stories.

Also, how to know if you are reading the right book?

The only cream that actually works and that I have been using for years and years. During fall (and winter) I apply a ticker layer when I’m at home, like a leave-on skin mask. It’s so nourishing!

It’s time to switch over from the cold version to the hot version of my favorite herbal drink.

Every year during fall and winter, I notice that I’m using this low-impact exercise equipment even more. After a few years it is still my favorite way to move.  You can read more about it here.

Snuggling up on the couch is so much better with this blanket.

My favorite night time tea at the moment is this.

This is currently (or still?) my favorite lip balm.

My new food photography backdrop (as you can see here in this article with the pomegranate) is probably going to be one I’ll be reaching out to a lot.

I think you either think this is a great movie or it doesn’t make any sense to you at all. I loved it!

The winners of the 2019 Wildlife Photographer of the Year. So good.

I’m still stuck in the simple dainty earring-era from last year. These are such lovely everyday earrings.

The podcast I’m listening to while editing photos and videos.

I’m always super stoked to follow a new photography course again. This course is diving into the world of artificial light! Whoop whoop!

This lipliner is probably the 5th time I buy the same. Nr. 74 + coconut oil or any other balm is what I wear almost every day. This brand seems to be cruelty-free, vegan friendly and also paraben-free.

Since a few weeks I’m a bit more active on TikTok. I occasionally post something, but for now I’m just scrolling through the app. My opinion so far about TikTok is that everyone is very young and we all have to dance in front of the camera. Oh well isn’t that how Instagram started? Are you on TikTok?

I  hope you liked reading through my favorites for this fall. Do you have a great recommendation for me? I’d love to know! Let me know in the comment section below or on Instagram #thegreencreator or Facebook. Oh and come say hi on TikTok.
