Imagine you have an expensive car. A nice one. Or expensive shoes. Both men and woman should visualize, right? And this car will need fuel or the shoes will need some maintenance. You would make sure that this will be done in a proper way, right? Perhaps you will even pay a bit more since this car or these shoes are valuable to you. Indeed valuable. Precious. So why on earth would you not fuel your body with the best fuel in the world? Come on, let’s juice.
My very first juice was actually a beet juice. I believe it contained beets and a lot of green apples. I always hated red beets. It tastes like sand to me. But I gave it a try and I actually liked it! Out of that juice experience I later created a juice recipe that would make a very good first juice for a lot of people and it’s still one of my favourites. Although not green, you can always add a spoon of wheatgrass or spirulina to add some chlorophyll (= green leaves).
This is a very tasty juice. So much better than any soda! Your skin and hair will glow after a while like crazy! And your nails will be so much more stronger. That is if you eat considerably healthy besides this juice.
Let me tell you something about the red beets.
Red beets contain zero fat. Yep, none. Red beets are (when consumed raw) high in carbohydrates, that will leave you with instant energy in such a way that it can be regarded as the best body fuel. Furthermore, red beets contain magnesium, iron, phosperous, sodium and calcium. They also provide you with vitamin A, C , niacin (a vitamin B), and folic acid (good for your blood cells). Beets guard against cancer (in particular colon cancer) and heart diseases. They are a good way to detoxify the body. The beta cyanin in beets can help detox your liver and when your liver is ok your body is ok and will detox itself. The betaine in beets will lift your mood. Some amazing benefits, right? And guess what. They are available all year round and are relatively cheap.
Having that said, be warned that the juice of just pure beets is extremely powerful. So powerful it can make you drunk just after one glass. So always mix it with some apples or carrots.
- 1,5 inch of ginger
- 6 organic carrots
- 1 lemon
- 3 raw (uncooked) organic red beets
- 2 apples
- Additionally, you can add half a cucumber (peeled if not organic) and celery.
