Valentine’s day or just showing some affection in general for your loved one is so much more than heart shaped chocolate (although very delicious if I say so myself). When I visited Greece last year I discovered that the pomegranate is a symbol of love. This goes all the way back to ancient Greece times. This inspired me to make this pomegranate smoothie.
It seems that the pomegranate is one of the world’s most ancient foods and so beautiful bursting with its ruby-red jewel like seeds.
For this pomegranate smoothie you only have to throw in a few ingredients in your blender. It’s a simple, yet delicious smoothie.
Pomegranate contains quite a few health benefits. It contains antioxidants and it is great for the skin.
Tip
If you’re using almond milk for this smoothie recipe make sure you check the ingredients on the store bought versions (many brands contain added sugar). Alternately, you can make your own almond milk.
